About Infiniti Q50
The Infiniti Q50 replaces the G/Q40 sedan. It was unveiled at the 2013 North American International Auto Show and will go on sale in the third quarter of 2013 in North America and in the fourth quarter of 2013 in Europe. It is the export model of the Nissan Skyline V37 for the Japanese domestic market. The Infiniti Essence and Infiniti Etherea inspire the design. The Q50 production project was put on hold in June 2011 after Joel Beck developed its design under the direction of Shiro Nakamura. The first models in the U.S. and Canada will be offered with a 3.7-liter V6 engine and a 3.5-liter hybrid engine. Both models will have rear-wheel drive or intelligent all-wheel drive and a range of trim levels. The first Canadian models are equipped with a 3.7-liter V6 engine. In China, the Infiniti Q50 has been sold as an import since 2014, pending production in the country. The 2.0 RWD and Infiniti Q50 Hybrid models have also been added to the range.
Designed by Tom Brown, the 2014 Infiniti Q50 features a chrome exterior, red, white, and blue stripes from the seats to the floor mats and stitching on the steering wheel. It also has a silver ring around the gearbox and a specially designed trunk. Zac Posen, The exterior color of the 2014 Infiniti Q50 ranges from silver at the front to carbon fiber at the rear and from matte to gloss. The Q50L's wheelbase is 48 mm longer than the standard Infiniti Q50, allowing for more legroom in the rear seats. It features a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. The Q50L is available in Comfort, Elegant, Sport, and Luxury trim levels. The Q50 sound studio is a limited edition for the 2016 model year. Based on the Q50 2.0t and 2.2d models, it features advanced digital signal processing technology, Centerpoint 2 surround sound, AudioPilot2 noise reduction technology, navigation system, and 14 speakers. The vehicle is equipped with Bose Advanced Staging technology for the first time. The British models will go on sale in October 2015 as 2016 models. Production of the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine developed by Daimler began on June 26, 2014, at Nissan's Decherd Powertrain plant in Franklin County, Tennessee. RACK electronic power steering is standard on 3.0t models. Customized suspension settings provide a better balance between ride safety and ride comfort. Q50 Red Sport 400 models, including the Q50 Red Sport 400 and Q50 Red Sport 400 AWD, will go on sale in the United States in 2016. In 2019, Infiniti will test some of its current models, such as the Q50 sedan and Q60 coupe, at the U.S. Spaceport desert test track.
