- Q: How do you remove and replace the antenna mast and antenna cable on Infiniti G35?A:The grid-type antenna in G35 Sedans and Coupes is bonded to the rear window glass, and if it is faulty, the entire rear glass must be replaced, a task best left to a professional. However, a break in the antenna grid can be repaired similarly to a rear window defogger grid. In 350Z models, the antenna mast is located on the left rear quarter panel; to remove it, unscrew the retaining nut and take off the mast, with installation being the reverse of removal. In G35 models, the antenna cables connect the rear window grid-type antenna to the audio system in the instrument panel, routed along the underside of the roof above the headliner. For 350Z models, the antenna cables link the antenna on the rear quarter panel to the audio system, routed underneath the carpeting, and replacing an antenna cable requires removing the seats, necessary interior trim, and carpeting.
