How to detach and reinstall the trunk lid lift support strut on the rear of an Infiniti G35?

Open the trunk lid and support it securely. Using a small screwdriver, detach the retaining clips at both ends of the Trunk Lid Lift Support, then pry or pull sharply to detach it from the vehicle by prying the clip out of its locking groove and detaching the end of the strut from the locating stud. Installation is the reverse of removal.
