Loosen the wheel lug nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands placed under the frame rails. Remove the wheel, driveaxle/hub nut, brake disc and the parking brake shoes, parking brake anchor and cable from the steering knuckle, hub and wheel bearing, brake backing plate, lower spring link and coil spring from the rear steering knuckle, front lower link and radius rod from the rear steering knuckle, lower shock absorber mounting fastener from the rear steering knuckle, and upper arm link balljoint from the rear steering knuckle. Inspect all rubber bushings for wear and damage and replace them if necessary. Installation is the reverse of removal and tighten the mounting fasteners to the torque. Raise the lower spring link with a floor jack to simulate normal ride height before tightening the mounting fasteners for the rear suspension components.
