Apply the parking brake, then raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Remove the front section of the exhaust system. Drain the transfer case lubricant. Remove the driveshafts. Disconnect the electrical connector from the transfer case, and free any harness clips. Detach the breather hose from the transfer case. Support the transmission with a floor jack, then remove the rear engine mount. Lower the transmission and transfer case far enough to access the transfer case upper mounting bolts. Support the transfer case with another floor jack. Remove the mounting bolts, pull the transfer case to the rear and carefully lower it to the ground. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the mounting bolts to the torque. Fill the transfer case with the proper lubricant.
