Remove the upper fasteners for the
Shock Absorber and untighten the lug nuts. Lift the vehicle and support it firmly on jackstands. Remove the wheel, disconnect the balljoint from the
Steering Knuckle, and move the shock absorber outward. Remove the control arm mounting bolts and check the balljoint and rubber bushings. Use a new cotter pin, tighten all fasteners to the torque values, and raise the lower control arm with a floor jack. Install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle and tighten the lug nuts, and have the front-end alignment checked and adjusted.
